We live on the lake, the homeowners assoc. has a big fireworks display, a lake poker run, several other different activities and to top off the weekend there is a big POPS Concert and fireworks in the heart of the city. A special thank you to all our Military folks!

I'm spending it with my family. We'll bbq, have watermelon, and hopefully fireworks (if the rain stops). I hope everyone has a safe weekend!

We live in a rural area and everyone usually has their own fireworks display. We have a BBQ, then go play minature golf, & then go to the Kentucky Lake or Murray State University is where the city of Murray has a big display aa well for the fireworks. Kevin Skinner our home town of Mayfield, America's Got Talent winner last year will be at Murray State University for a concert. One thing is that everyone supports our hometown bands that holds the concerts and usually the tickets are sold out. Everyone have a Happy Fourth of July and Be Safe!

We live in a small community on Lake Michigan. My daughter and her family join us (and our son and his family if they can travel from CT) along with other relative and friends to spend the 4th on the beach. There is a sand castle contest for all ages in the morning with hot dogs and drinks on the beach for lunch. We BBQ in the evening and then watch the sunset and fireworks on the beach. Hope our weather holds out through the fireworks! (Our poor dog hates the fireworks, so she retreats to the basement!) Happy 4th of July to everyone. Have a safe celebration.

No big plans this weekend, may try and find fireworks near us, will cook out (weather permitting).

Hope to get some scrapping in this weekend, and lots of relaxing.

have a good weekend everyone

My weekend plans are to go out for a run on Saturday and Sunday mornings (I use the term 'run' very loosely at the moment!), then to spend the rest of both days - and at least Monday and Tuesday as well - on some major housework/decluttering !!!

But for me - here in the UK - the only thing 'special' about this weekend is that it's the start of a week off work :D

every year we have a family BBQ at my parents house and invite a few friends, then we go to my friends Jen's house later that night to watch the fireworks... she lives up on a hill in town that overlooks where they fire off the city show. Other than that we just relax and enjoy being together since usually it is so crazy the rest of the time!

Our family tradition is to go out on the pontoon with my parents and watch the fireworks. I grew up in a community where we decorated our bikes and rode in a parade and I am sad that my kids aren't having the same experience but our community doesn't have a parade.

Awesome! Congrats to you... maybe that will help make up for no parade!
