Sorry it has taken me so long this month to post some projects using this month's kit, but August has just been insanely busy trying to get ready for school to start, then school actually starting which has left zero scrapping time for me for the past couple of weeks.
However, my lack of scrapping has absolutely nothing to do with the August kit because it is so awesome and SOOOOOO versatile!! I have so many ideas for pages that I want to create using August's TBC kit. You could use this kit to scrap pictures of Halloween (yep! my next layout will be using Halloween pictures from last year!), wedding, holiday, any performances (dance, ballet, piano recital, etc). I really can't remember the last time I thought a kit could truly be used for so many different themes.
In addition to the possibilities you can create from the August kit alone, Tracy has some great additions this month that you can use to expand your kit even further!!
My first layout this month incorporates some of the patriotic add-on papers that Tracy has paired up with this month's kit. Click here to see the patriotic papers I used for this layout plus more papers and embellishments that Tracy has found that coordinate with August's kit.
OK, normally I don't post layouts that don't have pictures yet, but I just loved these American papers and I thought they matched the August kit so beautifully that I couldn't wait to use them. Every year at my children's elementary school, they have a Veteran's Day program. Well, since my oldest dd is in 2nd grade now (still recovering from that btw!!) she will be a part of the school's Veteran's Day program - so of course I will be getting some pictures!! In an effort to actually be a little bit ahead in my scrapping, I wanted to go ahead and use these papers to create a layout to showcase pictures from this upcoming program.
